Folly and Wickedness of Men.

1 ^cThe fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,”
They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;
^dThere is no one who does good.
2 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there is ^eanyone who ^{▼▼ Or acts wisely}understands,
Who ^gseeks after God.
3 ^hEvery one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.

4 Have the workers of wickedness ⁱno knowledge,
Who eat up My people as though they ate bread
And have not called upon God?
5 There they were in great ^{▼▼ Or dread}fear ^k where no ^{▼▼ Or dread}fear had been;
For God ^mscattered the bones of ^{▼▼ Or possibly those}him who encamped against you;
You ^oput them to shame, because ^pGod had rejected them.
6 Oh, that ^qthe salvation of Israel ^{▼▼ Lit would be}would come out of Zion!
When God ^{▼▼ Or restores the fortunes of His people}restores His captive people,
^{▼▼ Or Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad}Let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
